Local Employment Planning Council looking for community participation on workforce survey

Our local economy is changing. Though there are signs that things are improving in the London/Middlesex/Oxford/Elgin region, it looks like a surprising number of people who are 25 – 54 years of age are not working or looking for work. Employers say they are having a hard time finding people to hire. The Local Employment Planning Council wants to understand why this is happening and need your help. If you are between 25 and 54 and not working, please take a few minutes to complete this survey.  If you complete all questions, you will be entered into a draw to win one of ten $10 Tim Horton’s Gift Cards.

By completing and/or sharing this survey https://www.research.net/r/labourparticipation, you will be helping figure out what needs to change locally for people who want to work.

You can also help by sharing this survey invitation with others.

Questions that we hope to answer

  • Why does the London Economic Area have more people who are not working or looking for work than other areas?
  • What are reasons for not working or looking for work?

–  What can be put in place to encourage and help people to look for and  find work if they want it?
