Localizing the SDG indicators

Localizing the SDG indicators

The UN sustainable development goals is the guiding framework to integrate poverty reduction with environmental and social justice.

In this report, Dr. Michael Courey and Luis Patricio (MUP) present an evaluation tool to help municipalities with the first step in creating a local SDG tracking system as part of the London For All initiative. This tool is a decision tree that can be used by any group in any country trying to determine which of the 244 SDG indicators are applicable and relevant to the local level. The tool is constructed in such a way that it should create consistency in the local tracking system of similar cities and to accommodate differences between cities. The initial list of applicable indicators identified in this report will be validated with several of our community partners. Download the report here.
